OFF TO GREECE MUNICH TO ATHENS THEN DELPHI

Lots of fun for the first few days but now that we are over our jet lag off to Greece via Lufthansa. Plane was 1/3 empty for a 2.5 hour flight. Lots of leg room left and arrive on time good service during the flight. Got off the plane at noon and got our rental car after which we took off for the destination of the day - Defphi. Although we did it via Osio San Lucas and monestary hidden away in the mountains. Its a serene place with lots of good architecture. Beth didn't know it then but this was the just the begining of lots of old stone, and I do mean old.

Traffice has changed considerably since the last time I was here in 1969 hitch hiking around the country but the people haven't nor has the food, friendly and beyond good. We stopped for our firest meal along the road to Delphi in the mountains and had the best meal to that point of our trip. Wish I could remember where it was............

We ended up in our first internet reserved hoted the Pithos, what a great place. The owner "George" was real energetic guy who built the place and live in the ground floor with his wife and kids.

Had a good dinner: greek salad; squid; mousaka etc. washed it down with a local red wine about a week old. Good times good stuff.
